The Hague Convention - extension by other new members

On 1 May 2019 the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction entered into force in south American state Guyana. From 1 October 2019 this Convention takes effect also for Barbados. The number of countries perceiving the international parental abduction of a child as an undesirable phenomenon that requires an appropriate reaction also in legal respect, was extended by another two states.
